HCB Student Council enjoy a great start to Term 1

10th Oct 2024

Two representatives of the newly formed HCB Student Council successfully carried out their first meeting of the year with the Principal and Vice Principal of the school this afternoon.

In this meeting they brought forward their excellent initiative ‘Football Top Friday’ in order to encourage pupils to attend school on Fridays and tackle the attendance issues from previous years.

Mr. Mc Arevey and Mr. Curran were delighted with the council’s contribution and were able to negotiate time slots where the Student Council can address the KS1 and KS2 assemblies in the coming weeks.

Another major benefit coming from the first meeting was the granting of a pupil voice column in the weekly bulletin, this is where the boys will update the school community on their ideas and developments as the school year continues.
Well done boys!
