Our final lesson with Miss McLaughlin

7th Dec 2023

On Wednesday 6th December the boys were learning about sound with Miss McLaughlin. They started off by listening to a high pitched sound and when they stopped hearing the sound they found out their ‘hearing age.’ Mrs Wallace was delighted to learn that her hearing age was only 30!

They then went on to learn about how sound travels through vibrations and sound waves. The children made their own megaphones and experimented with the resources to see which combination would make sound louder or quieter.

Miss McLaughlin is now about to embark on an exciting few months of study in the Netherlands as part of her degree course. We would like to thank her for her wonderfully interactive lessons and wish her all the best for her future studies!
