We had the pleasure of MrMcArevey visiting P5C to observe a persuasive writing lesson. The boys were set a challenge where they were given a scenario about a friend who wanted to be a professional footballer but had a terrible diet. Through a range of activities including videos on eating a balanced diet, a philosophical enquiry to generate arguments, creating their own balanced meals to using persuasive language cues the boys had a great time completing this writing lesson.
