Seed Dispersal- Life Cycles
20th Dec 2022
We looked at seed heads from Mrs Mohan’s garden and explored how they were dispersed in the autumn. Were they eaten by animals? did they stick to animals fur? Did the seed head dry up and explode? Did the wind carry them away? Or do the seeds just drop beside the parent plant? It was very interesting looking at real life seeds. We were able to touch and feel them and open the pods to see how the seeds were stored in there.
